It is expected that Google Search will soon have a dedicated 'AI Mode'.
Greater integration of artificial intelligence in Google search.
Google is working on integrating a new mode called "AI Mode" into its search engine, according to recent reports. This new feature will allow users to activate an interface similar to the company's Gemini chatbot, thereby increasing interaction with the search system.
The new AI Mode tab will be located to the left of the “All,” “Images,” “Videos,” and “Shopping” tabs, making this functionality easily accessible. When using this option, it will generate responses that include links to related web pages, as well as provide a search bar that encourages users to ask additional questions.
This development aligns with a previous report that had detected this functionality in a Beta version of the Google app, where code indicating that it will be possible to ask questions via voice commands was also found.
With the recent introduction of search in ChatGPT for all users, Google is facing increasing pressure to more effectively integrate search and artificial intelligence. The company had already begun displaying AI-based search summaries for certain queries and, in October, expanded this feature to several additional countries.
