Google will remove the additional search box from your results.

Will you miss him?

Starting November 21, 2024, Google will remove the search box that allowed users to perform searches within a specific website from its search results. This change is due to the declining usage of this feature over time.

The site search box, known as sitelinks search box, was introduced over a decade ago and, although it was initially considered useful, its usage has progressively decreased. Google has decided to simplify the search experience by removing this visual element starting on the mentioned date.

For those who are unfamiliar with this feature, it was a small search box that appeared below the links in the results, allowing users to search for specific information within the site, such as The New York Times. With the removal of this feature, it will no longer appear in any language or country from November onwards.

This change is part of a series of adjustments in Google's search engine, which continues to evolve towards the integration of artificial intelligence and is undergoing restructuring in the team responsible for these functionalities.
