GlocalMe presents PetPhone: a smartphone for pets at MWC 2025.

Includes activity monitoring features and active alerts based on artificial intelligence.

At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, GlocalMe introduced an innovative proposal: the PetPhone, a smartphone designed exclusively for pets. This device enables two-way communication between animals and their owners, incorporating technologies such as action recognition to identify behaviors like dog barking. Additionally, it features GPS tracking, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, which allow owners to effectively monitor both the health and location of their pets.

The PetPhone, presented in the form of a pet collar, is capable of identifying various sounds emitted by animals. This allows owners to gauge their pet's emotional state and communicate with them through features like PawTalk and sound playback. The device also provides real-time location tracking thanks to its GPS technology, which combines AGPS, LBS, and Bluetooth, along with an active radar system developed by the company.

Promoted as the "first smartphone for pets," this product includes activity monitoring features, AI-driven alerts, and a PawTrack function that tracks the animal's movements. It also has a geofencing feature that alerts owners when their pets leave a designated safe zone, and built-in lights or ringtones to help locate them in low visibility conditions.

PetPhone users can create a social community to share moments with their pets, including personalized profiles that offer health tips, information on service plans, and reminders for routine activities. Additionally, owners have the ability to play relaxing music for their pets, adding an extra touch of care and comfort.

Designed for global use, the PetPhone is compatible in over 200 countries and comes with CloudSIM support and an IP68 rating, making it resistant to dust and water, suitable for various environmental conditions. At the same event, Tecno showcased a concept of an ultra-slim phone, Spark Slim, which includes a 5,200 mAh battery, 50MP cameras, and Gorilla Glass protection. Realme also presented a new smartphone whose concept allows for the use of full-frame professional lenses, thereby enhancing its photographic capabilities.
