Elgato has released a new version of its audio control software for streaming, Wave Link, which includes AI-driven voice enhancements. This update also introduces a system-level management system that allows the redirection of audio streams to specific applications, segments audio between the user and their audience, adds sound effects, and quickly silences channels.
The update to version 2.0 is now available for download and is compatible with Elgato hardware, including its microphone and the Stream Deck control ecosystem. The new Voice Focus functionality, developed in collaboration with audio machine learning company AIcoustics, is capable of removing noise and addressing acoustic issues, ensuring professional audio quality regardless of the environment.
Additionally, Wave Link 2.0 allows the inclusion of audio effects and custom plugins to achieve the desired sound. However, an Elgato microphone or a Stream Deck Plus is required to fully utilize the low-latency audio mixing features offered by the software.
This version functions more like SteelSeries GG, as it takes complete control of audio on Windows, allowing users to redirect audio wherever needed or group applications into a single input channel to keep certain sounds together. Custom control buttons can also be created in Stream Deck using the "add to Stream Deck" feature, making it easier to adjust the volume for each managed audio stream. Furthermore, Wave Link displays a volume slider that can span multiple buttons, providing a quick overview of current volume levels and is fully compatible with the Stream Deck Plus pedals and dials.
