AMD has revealed its highly anticipated RDNA 4 graphics architecture with the launch of the new Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 graphics cards, which are part of the Radeon RX 9000 series. These new models are equipped with 16 GB of memory and offer significant improvements to deliver high-quality graphics in video games. Among their innovations are the revamped ray tracing accelerators and advanced artificial intelligence features that promise exceptional performance and unprecedented gaming experiences.
The announcement was made during a YouTube event where David McAfee, Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Ryzen CPUs and Radeon Graphics at AMD, was joined by other senior executives from the company. Additionally, a regional event in Zhuhai, China, led by Jack Huynh, also highlighted the arrival of these new products.
McAfee expressed his enthusiasm in presenting the Radeon RX 9000 series, emphasizing that these GPUs are designed to meet the current demands of gaming, providing players with top-level experiences while preparing for future innovations. He highlighted the importance of advanced artificial intelligence and ray tracing accelerators in significantly improving both frame rates and graphical quality.
The RX 9000 series GPUs are poised to redefine the gaming experience, integrating third-generation ray tracing technology that allows for more realistic lighting, shadows, and reflections. They also utilize new artificial intelligence accelerators, enhancing performance in creative applications and optimizing the execution of generative artificial intelligence software.
In addition to these features, the Radeon RX 9000 series offers significant support for next-generation displays with the AMD Radiance Display Engine, which supports the latest connections, enabling ultra-high resolutions and refresh rates of up to 8K at 144 Hz. This is complemented by AMD FreeSync technology, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted gaming experiences.
