Some users have reported accessing these options and have shared screenshots displaying personality traits like 'Chatty,' 'Skeptical,' and 'Visionary.'
Currently, not all users have access to these new features, and it has been observed that some individuals who initially had access have lost it, fueling speculation about whether this is a gradual rollout or simply an error that allowed early visibility of the new functionalities.
At present, users can already manually customize how ChatGPT interacts with them. When they access the web version of the chatbot, clicking on the account icon located in the upper right corner brings up a menu that allows them to select the option 'Customize ChatGPT.' This menu offers two spaces to enter custom instructions: one to detail what information the chatbot should know about the user to provide more suitable responses, and another to define the desired response style.
Although there are limited suggestions to help with these customizations, it has been noted that these tools can be quite effective. For example, a fun instruction like 'As if you were drunk' can cause ChatGPT to respond in an unexpected and comedic manner. This customization capability highlights the potential of the available adjustments, as users could specify that evidence or statistics be provided to strengthen arguments and receive more persuasive responses.
