Transform your old bicycle into a powerful e-bike.

Electric bicycles are an excellent option; however, their price is significantly higher compared to conventional bicycles, and they also tend to be heavier.

Electric bikes are an attractive option, but they tend to be more expensive and heavier than conventional bikes. Additionally, they may require certain adjustments and maintenance. However, an innovative solution allows you to transform a traditional bike into an electric one: the Livall PikaBoost, now available in its second version. This motorized device attaches to the rear of the bike frame and is designed to give the bike electric power without the need for a complete replacement.

During the CES 2025 event in Las Vegas, the PikaBoost 2 was introduced as an economical alternative for those looking to increase the power of their bikes. This device mounts to the rear of the frame, extending towards the rear tire, provided that the tire width is between 23 mm and 32 mm. It features a rubber wheel that, when activated, spins the tire, eliminating the need for manual pedaling. Everything is controlled by a remote connected to the handlebars, making it user-friendly.

While the PikaBoost 2 does not offer the same power as many electric bikes equipped with more robust motors, it provides adequate performance for its size and price, reaching up to 500 W of maximum power and 100 W continuously. It can achieve speeds of approximately 24 km/h and features different operating modes: training, eco, and cruise, adapting to the cyclist's needs.

The device includes a 158 Wh battery, which the manufacturer claims can offer a range of up to 69 km, although this will depend on the riding style. There is the option to incorporate an enhanced battery that offers a range of 95 km. When it comes to recharging, there is no need to disassemble the device, as only the battery can be detached; it is compatible with USB-PD 3.1 and QuickCharge 3.0, allowing for a full charge in about three hours.

The Livall PikaBoost 2 stands out from other electric bike conversion kits due to its easy installation and affordable cost. Mass production is planned for the end of August, with shipments starting in September, and its market price will be $500, available on the company's website and soon on Amazon.
