Black Friday 2024 Deals Are Coming: Here's What Australians Want to Buy in November.
Smartwatches hold a prominent place on the wish lists of many people.
Black Friday has established itself as the most important sales event on the retail calendar in Australia, surpassing the traditional Boxing Day sales. A study conducted among over a thousand Australians revealed that half of the respondents eagerly await the Black Friday discounts, while only 32% plan to take advantage of the Boxing Day offers in December. Seventy-four percent of survey participants stated that they prefer to wait for sales to make their purchases, trusting that prices will be lower during this year-end discount season.
This survey, which is part of the latest Consumer Confidence Report, also indicates that 55% of Australians plan to do their Christmas shopping during the year-end sales to save money. With Black Friday scheduled for November 29, 2024, and extending until Cyber Monday, which concludes on December 2, it presents an ideal opportunity to buy gifts without the need for much advance planning.
As for what Australians want to buy on Black Friday, the most sought-after products include significant investments such as smartphones, televisions, steam cleaners, and large appliances like refrigerators and washing machines. Interestingly, 59% of respondents have a smartwatch on their wish list, followed by smartphones (53%), headphones (48%), video games (47%), laptops (46%), tablets (41%), and sound systems (32%).
For over eight years, Black Friday sales have been monitored in Australia, making it possible to anticipate that many of these items will see significant discounts during November and December.
On another note, the TechRadar Australia team is also eagerly awaiting the start of Black Friday offers. Among the most anticipated products are audio accessories, camera lenses, and a range of gadgets and tools, which are expected to have appealing prices for this discount season. Some team members have expressed interest in specific devices such as smartwatches, gaming controllers, Wi-Fi systems, and kitchen utensils that enhance their health and lifestyle.
