ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra: Everything We Know So Far.

The Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra will be officially launched in just a few days, and although it has not yet been presented, various leaks and rumors give us an idea of the appearance and functionality of the new device. It’s important to mention that this information has not been confirmed, so it should be taken with caution. The Zenfone series stands out from other Asus phones by being versatile devices that offer more than just gaming capabilities. For example, the Zenfone 10 was a notable competitor to the Galaxy S23 Ultra, and the Zenfone 12 Ultra is expected to play a similar role against the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Regarding the launch date, it is anticipated that the Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra will be unveiled on February 6, although a price has not yet been disclosed. The Zenfone 11 Ultra was launched at a price of $899 and was announced on March 14, with deliveries beginning on April 14. This suggests that the Zenfone 12 Ultra might take until March to reach the market, even though pre-orders will open on the same day as its presentation. Additionally, considering that Asus's ROG Phone 9 has a starting price of around $1,000, it is likely that the Zenfone 12 will have a similar price point. It is also worth noting that the Zenfone 11 Ultra was only compatible with certain networks like T-Mobile and AT&T, so its successor may face similar issues.

In terms of design, the Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra opts for a more subdued aesthetic compared to other phones in the brand's lineup. Unlike the "gamer" look of the ROG Phone 9, this model features reduced bezels and a hole-punch camera on the front. The back is almost smooth, except for the Zenfone logo and the camera module at the top. So far, three colors have leaked: pink, green, and black. Although the exact dimensions are not yet known, the screen is said to measure 6.78 inches. This device includes a SIM card slot, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a side-mounted USB-C port. Regarding specifications, although Asus has not provided much information, it has been mentioned that the phone will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and the new Oryon CPU. This eight-core CPU can reach speeds of up to 4.32 GHz and is typically found in high-end ARM chips for Windows tablets. In terms of graphics, the Adreno 830 GPU will be used, which is also found in models like the OnePlus 13 and the Samsung Galaxy S25+. It is speculated that the Zenfone 12 Ultra will be available in different storage and memory configurations, including options of 256GB with 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and 512GB with 16GB of RAM; however, it should be noted that this data comes from unconfirmed rumors.
