Asus unveils two business monitors with a unique feature that all display manufacturers should mimic.
The two 24-inch monitors feature an area on the back to accommodate a mini PC.
Asus has launched two new 24-inch monitors, the BE248CFN and the BE248QF, designed to integrate mini PCs on their back. These monitors come with a mounting kit that allows for secure attachment of the mini PC at the back, close to the base, making access easier.
Additionally, both models feature a slot in the base to hold a smartphone and an integrated USB hub that is ideal for managing multiple devices. While they offer attractive features, such as ergonomic adjustments that allow tilting from -5 to 35 degrees, rotating 180 degrees left and right, and pivoting 90 degrees in both directions, as well as height adjustment up to 130 mm, unfortunately, they do not support 4K resolution. Instead, they offer a Full HD+ resolution (1,920 x 1,200), which may be a drawback for those seeking sharper details, such as content creators or users who prefer to work with multiple windows open simultaneously.
In terms of connectivity, the BE248CFN has HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.4, USB Type-C (with 96W charging capability), a four-port USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub, and Gigabit Ethernet. Meanwhile, the BE248QF includes a 15-pin mini D-Sub connector, which may be useful for users with older equipment. Both models are equipped with 2W stereo speakers and Asus Eye Care technologies, such as Flicker-Free and Low Blue Light, which contribute to a more comfortable use during long working hours.
Information regarding pricing or global availability has not yet been revealed, but the monitors are expected to hit the Japanese market before expanding to other countries.
