"Among Us 3D arrives on Steam with first-person deceptions."
Among Us 3D allows Steam players to join virtual reality rooms and engage in betrayals, conspiracies, and fun.
Among Us is preparing a new experience for PC players with the release of Among Us 3D, which will allow for first-person gameplay. This variant of the virtual reality game is similar to Among Us VR and will have the capability to connect players from Steam with those using Meta Quest, PlayStation VR 2, Steam VR, and Pico. Over the coming months, the Among Us VR brand will transition into Among Us 3D.
Victoria Tran, community director at Innersloth, stated that the launch of Among Us VR provided users with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the game, adding a whole new level of tension and fun to the social deduction genre. According to Tran, the cross-play feature strengthens the community, facilitating collaboration or betrayal among players, regardless of the platform they are using.
The expansion of the game to include the first-person perspective on Steam could significantly increase the number of players. Despite the popularity of virtual reality, the adoption rate remains low compared to the number of users on Steam. Players will be able to invite their friends to join, although they should be prepared, as in a three-dimensional environment, the Impostor can surprise with even more tricks.
It's worth noting that Among Us 3D is not compatible with the original version of the game. Those who only own the original title will need to purchase Among Us 3D, but from now on, they will be able to add it to their wishlist on Steam. A demo was also announced, which will be available during the Steam Next Fest, taking place from February 24 to March 3, where players can try out the game.
