YouTube starts to implement its new communities similar to Discord for more creators.

The Community tab is now called "Posts."

YouTube is making significant changes to its Community space, which has been present on the platform for nearly ten years. This space will be renamed "Posts," reflecting an effort to simplify the terminology on the platform.

The Communities feature, which was introduced during the Made for YouTube event last year, will now be expanded to a larger number of creators, allowing them to connect with their followers without relying on external platforms like Discord. This feature, accessible only through mobile devices, enables creators to share posts that include text and images, while followers can engage in discussions.

YouTube has conducted tests with a limited group of creators, and the feedback has been positive. Therefore, they are excited to expand this feature. Additionally, creators will be able to manage interactions through a Community Hub in the YouTube Studio app, which will integrate their channel activity and provide suggestions for responding to fans.

Although the name is changing, the tab will continue to function in the same way, allowing creators to share updates and announcements, and viewers will still be able to comment as they have been doing. However, creators will still need an invitation to access the Communities, which will be sent via email and appear as a banner on their channel pages. Once received, they will be instructed to "Go to Community" for more information and to enable the features.
