Toshiba launches a new Bluetooth turntable that allows you to take your vinyl anywhere.
If you're looking for a way to enjoy your vinyl records on the go, Toshiba has introduced the AX-RP10, a portable turntable with Bluetooth connectivity.
With the arrival of Record Store Day, many are considering purchasing a new turntable to enjoy their recent vinyl records. For those who are more active and looking for portability options, Toshiba has introduced the Aurex AX-RP10, a compact turntable with Bluetooth connectivity that allows you to enjoy music anywhere. Although its dimensions of 11 x 6 x 3 inches and a weight of 2.6 pounds won't fit in your pocket, the company includes a shoulder bag to make it easier to transport to places like parks or rooftop parties.
The Aurex AX-RP10 is a belt-driven turntable, similar to Audio-Technica's famous Sound Burger, featuring a MM (Moving Magnet) cartridge and capable of playing records at 33 1/3 and 45 RPM. Its 2,000mAh battery offers up to 10 hours of playback. However, it lacks built-in speakers, meaning you'll need to connect headphones or a sound system via the 3.5mm input. It can also pair with Bluetooth speakers or Bluetooth headphones, although it's important to note that the audio quality is not high due to the support for the SBC codec, making it more suitable for casual enjoyment.
The AX-RP10 includes an interesting "cover stand" that allows you to showcase the album cover, making your musical choices a highlight when sharing space. While Toshiba has yet to reveal the price of this new product, it is estimated to be available this month. In the meantime, visiting independent record stores is suggested to support the vitality of these communities.
