Mythic Quest will be canceled on Apple TV+, but fans will be able to enjoy one more episode.
The series will have the opportunity to present fans with an updated ending, as a new version of the season four finale will be released next week.
Mythic Quest, one of the first productions of Apple TV+, has been canceled after completing its fourth season. This information has been confirmed by various media outlets. As part of this conclusion, a final updated episode with a new ending will be released on Apple TV+ next week, allowing for a proper farewell to the series. The final episode of the fourth season first aired on March 26.
Executive producers Megan Ganz, David Hornsby, and Rob McElhenney stated: "Goodbyes are hard. However, after four incredible seasons, 'Mythic Quest' is coming to an end. We are very proud of the series and the world we've built, and deeply grateful to each and every cast and crew member who put their heart into it. To our fans, thank you for playing along with us. To our partners at Apple, thank you for believing in the vision from the beginning. Because goodbyes are hard, with Apple's blessing we made a final update to our last episode so that we could say goodbye, rather than just ending it."
Launched in February 2020, months after Apple TV+ debuted in November 2019, the series has received positive reviews since its debut and was renewed for seasons 3 and 4 in 2021. Mythic Quest tells the experiences of employees at a video game company, focusing on the development of an MMORPG similar to World of Warcraft. In addition to the main series, two standalone episodes were produced, one made during the COVID-19 lockdown and another showcasing the main cast returning to the office after the pandemic.
