Tomorrow the next Sony State of Play arrives with news and updates on exciting games for PS5.

Prepare the popcorn.

Sony has confirmed that its next live event, known as State of Play, will take place on February 12, 2025. The broadcast will last over 40 minutes and will feature "news and updates about major games coming to PS5." This event could finally provide release dates for highly anticipated titles like Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yōtei.

Despite rumors suggesting that this State of Play would air on February 14, the company has officially announced that it will occur at 2 PM PT / 10 PM GMT / 11 PM CET via PlayStation's official YouTube and Twitch channels.

In a recent statement on the PlayStation blog, Sony emphasized that this event will celebrate a "creative and unique selection of exciting games from studios around the world," in addition to the aforementioned news and updates about PS5 games.

Among the possible announcements are the two highlighted titles expected to launch this year, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yōtei. Given that there has not been much information about these games for some time, it is likely that their release dates will be shared, along with potential new gameplay or story trailers.

It has also been mentioned that it has been four years since Marvel's Wolverine was announced, and there is still uncertainty about its release this year. Insomniac has made comments about the project but has not been able to confirm its availability.

On the other hand, there is growing hope among FromSoftware fans for a remake or remaster of Bloodborne to come to PS5. After several fan projects of the game faced DMCA takedowns, the possibility of something being in development seems more tangible, and State of Play could be the perfect setting for its announcement.
