This Lenovo AI headphone prototype will turn you into a language expert at work, and I can't wait to try it.
It features a foldable microphone arm and allows for voice cloning using artificial intelligence.
Lenovo unveiled a prototype of AI-powered earbuds at CES 2025, designed to enhance the language skills of workers. One of the standout features of these earbuds is their ability to provide real-time translation, allowing users to communicate effectively in different languages. Additionally, a new AI-generated voice cloning feature was introduced, which can accurately mimic the user's voice.
The concept also integrates advanced health monitoring functions through Lenovo Virtual Care, which combines biometric tracking with an AI-powered virtual assistant to provide personalized wellness insights. These earbuds could connect with Lenovo's Action Assistant, a task automation concept also presented at CES 2025. This assistant, based on a large action model (LAM), is capable of understanding natural language instructions to execute complex workflows.
According to the conceptual image, Lenovo's AI earbuds feature seven ports and key buttons on one side, including volume control. Next to these is a multifunction button likely intended for play or pause media, answering calls, or activating a voice assistant. Additionally, there is a foldable microphone arm that can be adjusted in any direction to capture audio clearly. A USB-C port should allow for fast charging and possibly wired connectivity. There is also a dedicated power button and a speaker grille with a perforated design.
The design of the earbuds is completed with an adjustable, padded headband that is intended to provide comfort during prolonged use. However, it is worth noting that Lenovo's AI earbuds are just a prototype, and many of these devices may never become commercially available.
