A Chinese laptop manufacturer has launched an innovative model that stands out for featuring a retractable touchpad on the keyboard. This device comes with two screens and uses a powerful Core i3-1215U processor, unlike many of its competitors. It can be configured with up to 32GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD, in addition to having a surprisingly affordable price.
This new laptop, produced by Topton, combines two 10.95-inch IPS touchscreen displays (1920x1200), which can be deployed to provide a total viewing area of 15.5 inches. The screens can be placed either side by side in landscape mode or stacked vertically in portrait mode, according to the user’s preferences.
Among the processor options, the model is available with an Intel Core i3-1215U, which offers 6 cores and 8 threads, or with an Intel Alder Lake-N N100, which has 4 cores and 4 threads. The version that uses the Core i3 comes with an 11.55V, 3000mAh battery, providing between 2 and 4 hours of use, while the N100 model features a larger battery of 7.7V, 5000mAh, allowing for 3 to 4 hours of operation.
Both configurations come with Windows 11 and support up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and 2TB of SSD storage. Prices range from $368 to $721 depending on the chosen specifications. In terms of connectivity, it includes USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports with support for DisplayPort and Power Delivery, an additional USB 3.0 Type-C port, and a USB 3.0 Type-A port, along with wireless connectivity via Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
Additionally, the laptop features a 1.0MP front camera, 1W stereo speakers, and a G sensor for screen orientation. Despite having two screens, the laptop remains lightweight, weighing only 1.2kg and measuring 259x175x23mm.
