The owners of the Samsung Galaxy S24 could face a long wait to receive One UI 7.

It is reported that there are several months ahead.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 is expected to receive several beta versions of One UI 7 before the final update becomes available. According to recent analysis, up to six beta versions could be released before the full version is implemented, which might happen in May. This raises speculation about the waiting period, especially with the potential unveiling of Android 16 by Google in the same month, which could make the One UI 7 update feel outdated quickly.

According to the leaker Tarun Vats, who shared information on X, the third beta is already available, and the fourth will be released next week. However, Vats indicates that the fifth beta will not be announced until March, and the sixth until April, which could mean that the final version won't be ready until May. While it's important to take this information with caution, another reliable source has also backed up this timeline, increasing the likelihood that a wait is indeed necessary.

This update is expected to bring new features driven by artificial intelligence, although some advancements available on the Galaxy S25 may not be present. Additionally, improvements in the user interface are anticipated, such as a redesigned home screen and a new camera layout, offering a range of updates to users.

However, the long wait poses a drawback: One UI 7, which is based on Android 15, could be launched almost simultaneously with the arrival of Android 16. This upcoming version of Android is expected to be showcased at the Google I/O 2025 event, scheduled for May 20, or at the latest in June. This would mean that the One UI 7 update could quickly seem outdated alongside the debut of the new version of Android.
