The Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 now has official broadcast times for April 2nd.

And it’s probably what you were really expecting, to be honest.

Nintendo has announced the date and time for its upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, which will be streamed on April 2 at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET / 2 p.m. GMT / 3 p.m. CEST. This timing aligns with Nintendo's tradition of holding events in the morning in the U.S. and in the afternoon in the U.K. and Europe.

The news was shared through Nintendo's official social media channels. This event promises to be a comprehensive presentation on the Nintendo Switch 2, although no details about the content to be showcased have been released yet.

In a previous announcement, only the general date of April 2 was known, provided in the official announcement trailer for the Nintendo Switch 2. With the times now confirmed, fans can better plan their day around this presentation.

Regarding the topics to be covered during the Direct, Nintendo has kept it a secret. While it is unlikely that a detailed breakdown of specifications will be presented, more clarity is expected regarding the improvements over the original Nintendo Switch model. Additionally, announcements for new games are anticipated, and an official release date for the system may be revealed.

There is already anticipation for a new Mario Kart title, mentioned in the Switch 2 announcement trailer. Further information is also expected on Metroid Prime 4 Beyond and Pokémon Legends: Z-A, both scheduled for release in 2025.
