The new Floodlight Camera E30 from Eufy combines a 2K camera capable of rotating and tilting 360 degrees, along with two powerful 2,000-lumen LED floodlights, and allows for local video recording without requiring subscriptions. Eufy, Anker's smart home brand, offers similar products that operate on batteries and solar panels, providing greater flexibility in installation. However, many homes already have floodlights, making the E30 an easy installation option. It is currently available for purchase through the company's website and Amazon for a price of $149.99.

The E30, which is installed directly on the electrical grid, ensures continuous recording even under various weather conditions, thanks to its IP65 dust and water resistance rating. It is compatible with microSD cards of up to 128GB, which, according to Eufy, can store up to 144 hours or six days of video at maximum resolution. Additionally, it can wirelessly connect to the brand's HomeBase S380, which can expand the storage capacity up to 16TB if a larger hard drive is acquired.

The E30's system includes a rotating camera that can cover an entire yard, except for any physical obstacles. This camera can not only rotate 360 degrees but also has a vertical tilting range of 70 degrees. Through a detection system powered by artificial intelligence, it can identify vehicles and people, automatically following their movements. Eufy emphasizes that the E30 can track moving objects beyond its current field of view and rotate the camera to ensure everything is recorded.

Through the Eufy app, it is possible to define detection zones that automatically activate the floodlight and a 105-decibel alarm. During the day, a more discreet approach can be adopted through its two-way communication capabilities, allowing interaction with unexpected visitors via the mobile app.

After significant incidents related to security and privacy in 2022, Eufy hired cybersecurity expert Ralph Echemendia to audit and improve its operations and incident response. The company also updated its privacy commitment statement on its website, detailing its responsible data handling practices.
