The Last of Us Part 2 on PC Also Requires a PSN Account.

Sony has done it again.

The remaster of The Last of Us Part 2 will soon join the PlayStation Network, meaning that players who purchase the title on PC platforms like Steam and Epic Games will need to link a PSN account to access the game. This new requirement has generated discontent among users, especially considering that it is a single-player game without multiplayer features, as seen with other Sony titles released for PC, such as Ghost of Tsushima and God of War Ragnarök.

The announcement, which will take effect from April 3 at a price of $49.99, has already drawn criticism. In the past, the introduction of the need to link PSN accounts has led to situations of mass rejection, as occurred with Helldivers, where players expressed their discontent strongly, forcing Sony to retract that policy.

The reason behind this requirement is still unclear, especially since the game itself does not offer a multiplayer mode. Furthermore, the obligation to have a PSN account could limit access for players in different regions where this service is not available.
