The iPhone SE 4 could feature Dynamic Island instead of a notch.
The iPhone SE 4 could share more features with the iPhone 16 than previously anticipated, including the addition of the Dynamic Island feature.
Recently leaked images by the well-known leaker Evan Blass suggest that the iPhone SE 4 could include the Dynamic Island feature, defying previous expectations. Blass also shared snippets of code alluding to other yet-to-be-announced Apple products, such as the 11-inch iPad Air with M3, the 13-inch iPad Air with M3, the eleventh generation iPad, and the fourth generation iPhone SE. In his posts, Blass presented visual assets of these devices, highlighting that the iPhone SE 4 shows the Dynamic Island, albeit faintly. To see it more clearly, it is suggested to zoom in on the image. Blass indicated that he corrected the color of the image to make it more visible, thus confirming that, at least in this image, the phone includes the island.
The iPhone SE 4 bears similarities to the iPhone 16, as both would feature the A18 chip and 8GB of RAM, along with Apple Intelligence functionalities. Although the iPhone SE has historically been a more accessible option, a price increase cannot be ruled out considering all these aspects. Some sources have even suggested that the new model could be called iPhone 16E instead of iPhone SE 4, due to the multiple similarities.
This revelation contradicts previous leaks that stated the iPhone SE 4 would only have a notch, instead of the Dynamic Island. While its inclusion is a pleasant surprise, it makes sense given that, as mentioned, the notch will become practically obsolete when the iPhone 14 is discontinued, raising the question of why Apple would use an outdated design in a new device. There is still considerable time before the launch of the iPhone SE 4, so it is advisable to take these initial details with caution, as changes are likely to occur before its final release.
