New way to enjoy Apple Music Classical, along with unreleased music.

Now you can enjoy your favorite content from Apple Music Classical on the web, as it has expanded beyond the app.

Classical music lovers have reasons to rejoice, as they can now access Apple Music Classical directly through the web, without the need for an app. This service, launched in March 2023, is designed to enhance the experience of classical music listeners, offering an extensive catalog that surpasses 5 million tracks, including both great masterpieces and lesser-known compositions.

The platform features a specialized search function that caters to the nuances of classical music, allowing users to search by composer, work, conductor, opus number, among other criteria. This makes it easier to locate specific recordings. Additionally, both the app and the website offer curated playlists, editor recommendations, and composer biographies, helping to guide both new listeners and more experienced fans in the realm of classical music.

Apple Music Classical is available not only on the web but also on iOS devices, CarPlay, and Android. It supports lossless audio in high resolution, with quality up to 192 kHz/24-bit, and offers thousands of recordings in Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos, providing an immersive listening experience.

To celebrate the launch of the web platform, Apple has unveiled a new recording featuring conductor Franz Welser-Möst alongside the Cleveland Orchestra, performing Julius Eastman’s Symphony No. 2 and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 2. This exclusive recording will be available only on Apple Music Classical for the next six weeks. The first piece, titled "The Faithful Friend: The Lover’s Love for the Beloved," is a significant work by the American composer. The second, commonly known as the "Little Russian" Symphony, is also highly recognized.

Any Apple Music subscriber can access Apple Music Classical at no additional cost. This service is based on Primephonic, a classical music streaming service acquired by Apple in 2021.
