Instagram has recently introduced a series of new features in its direct messages, aiming to solidify its platform as a communication hub. This announcement was made in collaboration with global stars JENNIE and Doechii, who participated in a live streaming event to present the updates.
Among the new features, the ability to translate messages in 99 different languages within the platform stands out. Users just need to press and hold the message they want to translate and select the corresponding option. Additionally, it is now possible to schedule messages up to 29 days in advance, a development that comes shortly after a similar feature was implemented in iMessage.
Another interesting feature being introduced is the ability to pin messages in conversations. Just like with translation, users need to press the message they want to pin and select the pin option.
Regarding music sharing, users can now do so in DMs, a feature that was launched during the live stream with JENNIE and Doechii. To access this option, simply click on the sticker icon in the bottom right corner of the chat.
Furthermore, a notable detail is the ability to invite people to a group chat using a QR code. Although some of these features have already been available in certain countries, the announcement indicates that the testing phase was successful enough for a global launch.
