It supports over 200 add-ons for automation and creative workflows.
The MacroDock M1 is a compact docking station designed to offer versatile connectivity and macro functions, aiming to meet various user needs. This device features ten ports and six programmable LCD macro keys, allowing for up to 36 commands, facilitating task automation and direct control of applications and software.
As a 10-in-1 docking station, it includes USB-A, USB-C ports, a 2.5Gbps Ethernet connector, SD and TF card slots, as well as a 3.5mm audio jack. Its HDMI port stands out, offering output of up to 8K at 30Hz or 4K at 120Hz, being compatible with high-resolution displays. The device can handle up to 100 million pixels across three 8K monitors, which also benefits M4 Macs users.
Integrating macro functions into this docking station eliminates the need for additional macro pads, such as the Elgato Stream Deck, and allows compatibility with over 200 plugins. This makes it ideal for different workflows, including video editing in DaVinci Resolve and live streaming with OBS Studio.
Additionally, the MacroDock M1 supports fast charging of 100W through Power Delivery 3.0, providing adequate power for work laptops. It also includes high-speed data transfer options, with USB ports supporting speeds of up to 10Gbps and an SD/TF card reader reaching up to 5Gbps.
A notable feature is its three rotary knobs, which allow precise control over volume, video editing timelines, and other adjustments in creative software. This device is available on Kickstarter at a special launch price of $109, with global shipping scheduled to begin in May 2025.
