Larry Page, co-founder of Google, ventures into the field of artificial intelligence.
Larry Page, co-founder of Google, has started a new company called Dynatomics, which specializes in implementing artificial intelligence in the manufacturing process of products.
Larry Page, co-founder of Google and an influential figure in technology alongside Sergey Brin, has decided to redirect his professional trajectory towards the field of artificial intelligence. Instead of developing a digital assistant, Page is establishing a new company called Dynatomics, which focuses on the application of AI in product manufacturing, according to recent reports.
Page is collaborating with a select group of AI engineers with the aim of creating "highly optimized" designs that will then be manufactured in factories. Chris Anderson, who previously held the position of chief technology officer at the Page-backed startup Kittyhawk, is leading this new project. This approach is not isolated, as several companies are already exploring practical applications of AI in industry. For example, Orbital Materials is creating an AI platform to discover new materials, while PhysicsX offers simulation tools for engineers across multiple sectors. Additionally, Instrumental uses computer vision technology to identify flaws in manufacturing processes.
In another realm, Amazon has also made significant advancements in artificial intelligence by updating its Alexa assistant. The company has launched Alexa Plus, a generative AI version that will allow a variety of functions through the voice assistant, including purchasing tickets for events, placing food orders, and managing calendars.
For his part, Sergey Brin, the former co-founder of Google, has maintained a lower profile since his apparent retirement. Although he remains a significant shareholder of Alphabet, he has resumed an active role due to the rise of artificial intelligence. Brin, who had stepped back from corporate life, is interested in participating in the advancement of this technology, although he has been more focused on philanthropic projects, particularly in the medical field.
The revolution of artificial intelligence seems to be writing new chapters, both for former tech titans like Page and Brin, as well as for commerce giants like Amazon.
