Kia presents two new electric vehicle designs, including an innovative modular van.

Kia unveiled two new conceptual vehicles today at the Specialty Equipment Market Association exhibition in Las Vegas.

Kia presented two new conceptual vehicles at the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show in Las Vegas. The star of the company’s announcements is the conceptual electric van PV5, known as WKNDR. This model is based on Kia’s "Platform Beyond Vehicles" modular design approach, which was revealed earlier this year at CES.

The PV5 incorporates an adaptable storage solution called Gear Head, which can serve multiple functions, including a secure storage space for outdoor activity gear when the van is not in use. Additionally, it can be powered by solar panels on the roof and by wheels equipped with a hydraulic turbine.

At the same event, Kia introduced the conceptual electric SUV EV9 ADVNTR. This vehicle is fully electric and features a custom load roof, as well as a combination of tires and wheels specifically designed for off-road use.

The company did not share information about pricing or availability dates in its announcement. Based on what has been gathered about Kia's production plans for the WKNDR van, it is likely that we won't see it on the roads (or off them) until next year at the earliest.
