Jesse Eisenberg Used ChatGPT to Understand His Anxiety About Ordering a Bagel.

Of course he/she did.

Jesse Eisenberg, known for his portrayal of nervous and anxious characters, has begun to explore his own anxiety through artificial intelligence. During a recent interview promoting his Oscar-nominated film, A Real Pain, the actor confessed that he had consulted ChatGPT to understand why he finds it difficult to ask questions, even in everyday situations like ordering a bagel.

Eisenberg recounted that while placing an order at a bagel shop in New York, he felt hesitant about whether he should ask if the pumpernickel bagel was healthier than the usual one. Although he considered bringing up his concern with the staff, he felt anxious thinking they might be too busy. Thus, he decided to turn his question toward artificial intelligence, inquiring whether more challenging life experiences might have given him greater confidence to ask the question.

The actor commented on his interaction with ChatGPT, which responded that there is academic evidence supporting the idea that personal growth can arise from traumatic experiences. Eisenberg also wondered whether an objective trauma might have encouraged him to ask about the pumpernickel, receiving an affirmative response from the AI, which suggested that it possibly would.

While some may doubt the ability of artificial intelligence to address mental health issues, Eisenberg seems to have found some comfort in the responses he received.
