It is reported that Apple will not launch a subscription service for iPhone.
You will need to find another way to pay for your iPhone.
Apple has decided to cancel the development of a subscription service for iPhones that would allow users to get a new device every year. According to reported information, the company faced various complications, including software issues and regulatory concerns, which led to the decision to not continue with the project.
This initiative was first mentioned in 2022, and although its launch was anticipated for that year, the lack of progress left the service in limbo. The cancellation of this service follows the recent discontinuation of Apple Pay Later, which was shut down just a few months after its full launch.
Despite not moving forward with the new subscription service, Apple continues to offer options for users to acquire an iPhone through installment plans. One of these is the iPhone Upgrade Program, which allows customers to finance an iPhone (along with AppleCare Plus) over a 24-month period, with the option to upgrade the device after paying the equivalent of 12 months. Additionally, those who have an Apple Card can opt for the monthly installment program to purchase new Apple products.
