iPhone users should update their devices immediately for security reasons.

The recent software update for the iPhone, iOS 18.4, may be more important than previously discussed in terms of security.

The recent iPhone update, known as iOS 18.4, includes not only a range of new features but also a significant number of security patches that, although not publicly advertised, are vital for user protection. This version, recently released, contains 62 fixes addressing a variety of vulnerabilities, some of which are serious. Apple’s strategy has been to keep a low profile regarding these updates so that hackers cannot detect the weaknesses of previous versions.

A closer look at iOS 18.4 reveals that critical flaws have been addressed, particularly in components like WebKit, used in Safari, and in the operating system's Kernel. These patches help to prevent malicious applications from gaining access codes to locked devices and reduce the risk of cross-site scripting attacks, which could potentially allow attackers to insert harmful scripts from trusted pages.

The availability of these fixes means that the vulnerabilities of older versions are now more apparent to attackers. Therefore, devices that have not been updated are more likely to be targeted. With more than 60 resolved issues, it is clear how vulnerable devices can be if they do not have the latest updates.

As for the update itself, iOS 18.4 is now available for iPhone Xs models and later. To proceed with the update, users must go to their device settings, navigate to the General section, and then to Software Update. Once this process is completed, the new version will be downloaded and installed.

On another note, there have been leaks suggesting that the iPhone 17 Pro could include liquid cooling cameras, which would help manage heat better, especially when running multiple applications simultaneously. This rumor comes from a well-known leaker who indicated that both the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max would feature this vapor cooling system. It was previously mentioned that only the Pro Max would have such functionality, but now its inclusion in both models is confirmed.

This design seems to be a response to the overheating issues faced by previous models like the iPhone 15 Pro. While the aluminum chassis of the current device helps dissipate heat, the heavy load of the A18 Pro chip can cause significant overheating. With this potential improvement in the new models, it is hoped that users will not face the same initial temperature challenges, though official information from Apple will need to confirm this.

Lastly, a comparison image has been shared that shows how slim the iPhone 17 Air could be in comparison to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, suggesting a noticeable reduction in thickness. This novelty has sparked great interest among brand enthusiasts.
