Instagram reveals your friends the Reels you have liked.
There are aspects that should remain private.
Instagram has introduced a new feature that allows users to see which Reels their friends have liked. This option is located in the top right corner of the Reels, where the profiles of some friends appear accompanied by small hearts in the corner of their images. By clicking on this icon, users can access the "With friends" tab, where each video is displayed along with the images of those friends who have liked it, all accompanied by a heart in the bottom right corner.
The aim of this update is to encourage greater interaction on the platform, motivating users to comment, like, and share Reels, possibly driven by the popularity of TikTok. Additionally, Instagram has launched other initiatives to keep users engaged on its app, especially at a time when TikTok faces restrictions in app stores.
Reports indicate that the platform is investing significant sums in influencers, encouraging them to post on Reels rather than on TikTok. It has also made visual changes to its interface by replacing traditional grids with rectangles, thereby prioritizing Reels. Furthermore, it has introduced a new video editing tool called Edits, similar to TikTok's CapCut, and has extended the maximum duration of Reels to three minutes.
To find out which Reels you have accidentally shared with your friends, you can go to your profile and click on the menu icon in the top right corner. Then select "Your activity" and then "Likes." This will show you all the posts and Reels that you have liked. If you want to see only the Reels, you can use the dropdown menu "All content types" and filter for Reels.
