Instagram finally allows scheduled message sending.
Set it and forget it.
Instagram has introduced the option to schedule direct messages, according to recent information. This feature allows users to press and hold the "send" button and select a specific date and time for their messages to be sent.
However, it is important to note that currently only text messages can be scheduled. This means that users will still need to send photos, videos, or GIFs immediately to friends and family. When accessing a chat with a scheduled message, Instagram will display a notification indicating how many messages are scheduled.
Additionally, tapping the notification and holding down on the message provides the option to delete it or send it immediately. At this time, users can schedule messages up to 29 days in advance.
This new functionality adds to other features Instagram has implemented to enhance the direct messaging experience, such as the ability to edit messages, draw on photos, and share real-time locations with friends, in a manner similar to what Snapchat offers.
