Better than earplugs and AirPods?

The search for the perfect sleep solution has been a long and complicated process. For those who are light sleepers like me, it's crucial to find something that blocks out the sound of a partner's snoring. Additionally, it's also necessary to have some form of entertainment to help fall asleep. While earplugs work well to block out snoring, they prevent me from hearing the TV. That's why I decided to try AirPods, but I ended up awake with ear pain.

So, I was excited to learn about the presentation of headphones specifically designed for sleeping during the recent Consumer Electronics Show. Although I couldn't attend in person, I read about them online and was happy to discover that their price is only $25.99 at the Mashable store, an accessible deal (the regular price is $34.99).

During my first experience using these sleep headphones, I found them to be really comfortable, even as a side sleeper. Unlike my AirPods, which stick out quite a bit, the SleepEEZ are practically invisible from the side, and I don't feel them when resting my head on the pillow.

These headphones provide noise cancellation of -20dB, similar to my favorite silicone earplugs, and are much more effective than my AirPods Pro. I can faintly hear my partner's snores, which is acceptable because I also want to be able to hear in case our smoke alarm goes off.

Then, I set a sleep timer for one hour, something that had been an inconvenience with the AirPods since I would wake up later with a TikTok video blasting in my ears. Finally, I chose an episode of one of my favorite shows and let myself drift off to sleep. The next morning, I had no ear pain, nor was I bothered by the sound of snoring. Overall, I think they're worth trying, especially at this price.
