In response to the devastating wildfires affecting the Los Angeles area, numerous well-known artists from the music industry, including Billie Eilish, No Doubt, Green Day, Olivia Rodrigo, Katy Perry, and Alanis Morissette, have come together in support of FireAid, organizing two major benefit concerts that will take place simultaneously on Thursday, January 30, at two locations in LA. For those unable to attend, the performances will be available on various streaming platforms.
FireAid focuses on helping to rebuild communities affected by the fires that have ravaged 45 square miles of the densely populated region of Los Angeles County, which have claimed the lives of 28 people to date. Proceeds from FireAid will go towards "short-term relief efforts and long-term initiatives to prevent future wildfire disasters," according to an official statement.
The benefit concerts will be held at two locations in Inglewood, California, that have not been impacted by the fires: the Intuit Dome, starting at 6:00 p.m. PST, and the Kia Forum, beginning at 7:30 p.m. PST. Attendees must choose which of the two events they wish to participate in. Ticket sales will begin today at 12:00 p.m. PST through Ticketmaster, with prices starting at $99. 100% of the ticket proceeds will go to relief efforts, and all service and venue fees have been waived.
Regarding the performances, both concerts will feature star-studded lineups with a total of 28 artists. At the Intuit Dome, Billie Eilish, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Jelly Roll, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, Olivia Rodrigo, Peso Pluma, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, Sting, and Tate McRae will perform. Meanwhile, at the Kia Forum, Alanis Morissette, Anderson .Paak, Dawes, Graham Nash, Green Day, John Fogerty, Joni Mitchell, No Doubt, Pink, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stephen Stills, Stevie Nicks, The Black Crowes, and Dave Matthews, who will perform for the first time alongside John Mayer, will take the stage.
The FireAid concerts will be available for streaming on various well-known platforms, including Amazon Music and Amazon Prime Video, Apple Music and the Apple TV app, Disney+, Hulu, Facebook, Instagram, iHeartRadio, KTLA+, Max, Netflix/Tudum, Paramount+, Peacock/NBC News Now, the exclusive SiriusXM channel “LIFE with John Mayer,” SoundCloud, Veeps, and YouTube. Additionally, some AMC Theatre locations will screen the event.
