Guide to Organizing Classes and Lectures in The Sims 4: Business and Hobbies.
With The Sims 4 Get to Work and Hobbies, you have the opportunity to share your knowledge with other sims using the whiteboard. Here we explain how to conduct classes and lectures.
One of the most attractive features introduced in the new expansion pack "Business and Hobbies" for The Sims 4 is the ability to give lectures or classes. While lectures can be conducted informally for other Sims to improve their skills, offering classes can generate profits if you own a small business. However, teaching a class or giving a lecture comes with its complexities, and certain requirements must be met before you can teach skills to other Sims. While the recent update about robberies was interesting, this new expansion pack offers many opportunities to learn new hobbies. Below is an explanation of how to organize a class and a lecture in The Sims 4 "Business and Hobbies."
How to Give a Lecture in The Sims 4 "Business and Hobbies"
It is important to clarify that lectures do not require you to have a small business, unlike classes. Additionally, lectures are free, which means you won’t earn money from them. However, they are an excellent way to teach other Sims your standout skills.
-
Purchase the Hobby Board “Sharing is Caring” for 630 Simoleons. You’ll find it in the Business category of Build Mode.
-
Place the board and observe the gray-marked area in front of it. If the lecture requires objects, you must place them within this space. For example, if you are teaching the pottery skill and the pottery wheel is outside this area, it won’t work. Here are some examples of skills that require specific objects to function:
- Acting: 3 mirrors or microphones
- Gourmet Cooking: 1 refrigerator, 3 counters
- Guitar: 3 guitars
- Fitness: 3 exercise objects
-
Make sure your Sim is at the correct skill level to teach. Each lecture requires your Sim to have a skill level of at least 3 or 5. You can check the interaction options with the board to determine what level is needed.
-
Finally, start the lecture. Other Sims will be able to interact with the board to attend the lecture. As they participate, the skill level they are learning will increase. If you own a small business, you can assign your employees the task of giving lectures automatically.
How to Teach a Class in The Sims 4 "Business and Hobbies"
To teach classes, it is mandatory to have a small business. Also, this must occur in your business lot when it is open and receiving customers.
-
Purchase the Hobby Board “Sharing is Caring” for 630 Simoleons. As before, you will find it in the Business category of Build Mode.
-
After placing the board and interacting with it, you will see multiple class options. Depending on your skill level, you can set a higher price per attendee. At the initial levels, you will charge 120 Simoleons, but at maximum level, the fee can go up to 360 Simoleons. Remember that some classes will require specific objects nearby, so refer to the previous list.
-
You can only start your class once you open your business. Select the board and start the class. As customers come in, some of them will show interest in attending. During the class, a timed event will begin where you can perform various activities. Primarily, you will need to give a 45-minute lecture, although you can also choose to mentor students or discuss techniques. Completing these tasks will make your classes successful and more appealing to customers.
