Faster than a hard drive: Lexar's new Armor SD cards are water-resistant, dustproof, and the most durable ever made.
The Lexar ARMOR series is designed to withstand extreme conditions.
Lexar has introduced two new SD cards, the ARMOR GOLD SDXC UHS-II and the ARMOR SILVER PRO SDXC UHS-II, which set new standards for durability in flash storage. These cards, built from stainless steel, are designed to withstand extreme conditions while delivering fast performance, making them ideal for professional photo editors and video editing software.
With a construction of stainless steel instead of plastic, Lexar's ARMOR series is claimed to be 37 times more resilient than standard SD cards, providing greater resistance to bending, breaking, and preventing issues related to overheating and static electricity, ensuring reliable use in challenging environments. Additionally, they feature an IP68 rating, making them resistant to dust and water and capable of withstanding falls from heights of up to 5 meters.
The simplified design eliminates traditional slots and the write protection switch, further enhancing their structural integrity. In terms of speed, the ARMOR GOLD model achieves write speeds of up to 210 MB/s, while the SILVER PRO reaches 160 MB/s. Both cards support transfer speeds of up to 280 MB/s with a USB 3.2 card reader, allowing for quick file transfers.
Meeting the Video Speed Class 60 (V60) standard, these cards enable uninterrupted recording of high-resolution 6K video. Users also have lifetime access to Lexar's data recovery tool, which helps restore accidentally deleted or formatted files, in addition to offering a limited lifetime warranty for added security.
