Attention, software developers!
The BenQ RD320UA is a 4K monitor that enhances productivity, specially designed for software developers, and it could be one of my favorite monitors available on the market.
The BenQ RD320UA has positioned itself as an excellent choice for programmers and professionals seeking a monitor that combines clarity and comfort. This device particularly stands out due to its Nano Matte panel, which eliminates glare, and its dedicated coding modes that enhance visual comfort. Additionally, it features a built-in KVM switch that facilitates work with multiple devices and a flexible Ergo arm that allows for adjustments in height, tilt, and rotation.
One additional benefit is the MoonHalo lighting, which enhances the nighttime coding experience by reducing visual fatigue. While the monitor is exceptional for coding and office tasks, it is not the best choice for photo or video editing, nor for gaming due to its 60Hz refresh rate. However, its performance is impressive for tasks that do not require intensive graphics.
In terms of cost, this monitor is offered at prices between $650 and $700, placing it in the high-end range of the market. This is justified by its build quality and the numerous features it presents. Programmers working on different computers will find the integrated KVM very useful, eliminating the need for an additional device. Also, those coding in low-light conditions will benefit from the backlight that helps reduce eye strain.
Upon opening the box, it is noticeable that the Ergo arm model has robust packaging, organized in two layers that protect the cables, documentation, and the panel. Installing the Ergo arm is straightforward, allowing for quick setup. Once connected, the clarity of the Nano Matte panel is remarkable, and the level of glare is minimal, contributing to prolonged use without eye fatigue.
The design of the RD320UA combines aesthetics and functionality. With a 31.5-inch screen and 4K resolution, this monitor is crafted from high-quality materials. The ergonomics of the arm allow for easy rotation and height adjustment, making it comfortable for the user. Additionally, the MoonHalo light ring on the back provides a more pleasant working environment and is easily controlled by the DisplayPilot 2 application, which allows for adjustments without needing to reach the back of the monitor.
Regarding practical use, the experience of setting up the monitor in a workspace has been very positive. The visibility and focus it provides are ideal for tasks that require concentration, even for those who are not professional programmers. The coding modes enhance readability, and the use of MoonHalo helps maintain the appropriate lighting during nighttime hours.
Ultimately, the KVM switch is one of the most valuable features, allowing for smooth switching between devices. All of this makes the BenQ RD320UA an attractive option for those who spend long hours coding or working in a professional environment.
