However, if this information were to be true, the question arises as to what form this robot might take. A peculiar idea would be for the device to mimic the appearance and behavior of Steve Jobs, who, despite having passed away over a decade ago, continues to be an iconic figure in the tech industry.
Despite the effectiveness of Tim Cook as CEO, Jobs is remembered as a legendary leader who defined Apple's vision. The notion of a robot embodying his figure may seem far-fetched, but entering the realm of humanoid robots is not an unconventional idea for the Cupertino company.
The market for humanoid robots has been on the rise in recent years, with multiple competitors promising to bring these technologies into consumers' homes. However, the development of robots with humanoid characteristics is a complex process that has been underway for more than 25 years, with Honda's Asimo being one of the most notable examples of innovation in this sector. Although Apple has a notable technological background, evidenced by its Vision Pro line and advancements in its Silicon, its experience in robotics is limited. Throughout history, many companies have started with the ambition of creating humanoid robots but have failed and shifted their focus toward more utilitarian robots.
In the current context, there is talk of a possible robotic home hub that could combine features of a HomePod and an iPad, providing commands through Siri, music and video playback, and potentially exhibiting emotionally connected interactions with users. This could be a strategy for Apple to revitalize its smart home initiative, which has not achieved the expected impact.
Among the rumors, there is also mention of a possible humanoid robot that could be developed in collaboration with Hanson Robotics, the creator of the robot Sophia. The idea suggests that this robot could have Jobs' appearance, dressed in his signature attire, and programmed with his way of thinking, offering a more dynamic personality than conventional robotic figures.
