Zotac did not leak the Nvidia RTX 5090, but we are still anticipating its release at CES 2025.

Information leak about the RTX 5090? In reality, it's the RTX 4070 Ti Super.

A leaked video, which allegedly showed the production of Nvidia's highly anticipated RTX 5090 GPU in a factory in Indonesia, has been debunked and actually features the Zotac Gaming RTX 4070 Ti Super, an already existing model. The video, which was uploaded to Bilibili, displayed a Zotac Gaming GPU being connected and powered on, prompting applause from the production team over a successful test.

This incident had fueled speculation about a possible RTX 5090 launch following a scheduled announcement for CES 2025. Analysts expected that Nvidia's partners, such as Zotac, were developing their versions of this GPU. One detail that caught many people's attention was that the video seemed to contradict rumors about the use of two 16-pin connectors due to increased power consumption, as the GPU shown only required one.

However, Zotac clarified that the GPU in question was the RTX 4070 Ti Super through a statement, raising doubts about the rumors of dual connectors. The company described the video as an "internal training record," which could raise questions about the security of its supply chain, especially following a similar incident in September 2022 when assembly images of the RTX 4090 were leaked.

This latest incident led to speculation that Zotac might be distorting the truth to protect itself from potential negative repercussions with Nvidia following a new leak. However, many consider it unlikely that Zotac would lie to its consumers, so it is better to take its statement as true, accepting that the video does not showcase a surprising or unannounced GPU.

As for the RTX 4070 Ti Super, it is an upgrade over the 4070 Ti model, designed to provide superior performance in 4K gaming. It uses the AD102 chip, the most powerful in Nvidia's Ada Lovelace series, which also powers the flagship 4090, representing an advance over the AD104 of the 4070 Ti. The Super Solid includes 16 GB of VRAM, improved clock speeds, and an optimized cooling system. While it is a powerful GPU, it cannot be compared to the 5090.

It is somewhat disappointing that the next generation of Nvidia graphics cards has not been presented, but that does not mean that the RTX 5090 is not being tested for a possible launch at CES 2025, as there are enough credible rumors suggesting its existence and that it will be announced soon.
