X will allow third parties to train artificial intelligence with your posts.

You still can't give it up.

Recently, social network X has expanded its privacy policy, affecting how user posts will be used in relation to artificial intelligence training. In July, the platform announced that it would use user posts to train its chatbot Grok. However, it has now allowed third parties to also use this information to train their own AI models.

In a clause of the new privacy policy, X clarifies that users can choose to share their data, which may result in the disclosure of their information to third parties. According to the policy, "depending on your settings, or if you choose to share your data, we may share or disclose your information with third parties." This means that if users do not opt-out, recipients of the information may use it for independent purposes, including the training of artificial intelligence models.

Although users have the option to opt-out of allowing X to train Grok with their posts, they are reminded that the new policy will take effect on November 15, 2024. For now, it does not seem there is a way to block third parties from using their posts to train artificial intelligence. It is expected that soon, with the implementation of this policy, more control over the use of their data by others will be facilitated.
