Wyze Cameras Now Use Artificial Intelligence to Summarize Your Motion Events.

Wyze has officially introduced Cam Unlimited Pro, a new subscription service that provides access to various AI-powered features. One of the standout features is Descriptive Alerts, which delivers AI-generated text notifications that accurately summarize motion events detected by the cameras. This advancement promises to offer highly detailed alerts, helping users decide whether it's necessary to access the Wyze app to review the full video clip.

For example, instead of receiving a generic notice like “A pet was detected in the backyard,” with Descriptive Alerts, users will receive a more specific notification such as “Small white dog playing with a tennis ball in the backyard at 4:04 PM.” Additionally, this feature can accurately describe people approaching the door, indicating whether they have left a package or delivered groceries. Essentially, it removes the uncertainty around events on the property, using AI technology to provide detailed information that was previously unavailable to Wyze users.

Descriptive Alerts is just one of the new features offered by the Cam Unlimited Pro subscription, which also includes AI Video Search. This functionality allows users to enter a text phrase when searching for motion events, making it easier to quickly locate any video. For instance, by typing “brown UPS truck,” the app will show all videos that match that description.

Other additional features include facial recognition to identify known individuals, detection of people, pets, vehicles, and packages, broken glass detection, a timeline for multiple cameras, access to Wyze Web View, live viewing without time restrictions, and cloud storage. This subscription service is compatible with all Wyze cameras, except for Wyze Cam v1, Wyze Video Doorbell v1, and Wyze Cam Outdoor v1. The subscription costs $20 per month or $200 per year, covering all compatible devices.
