We could have had our best look at the Nintendo Switch 2 so far.

We have received an impressive new image of the Nintendo Switch 2 thanks to several leaks, among which a notable one is from Dbrand.

The arrival of the Nintendo Switch 2 has generated a lot of speculation and rumors within the gaming community, which is eager for any hints of relevant information at major industry events. Recently, two significant leaks related to the console have emerged. The first comes from a Reddit user known as u/NextHandheld, who claimed to have obtained a finalized version of the Nintendo Switch 2 and its charging dock. In his post, he mentioned he would share proof on Christmas Day, although subreddit moderators requested evidence to keep his account active. It seems the user was able to validate his claim, as the moderators deemed the evidence presented sufficient.

The second leak originates from Dbrand, known for its accessories, which posted a listing indicating that the device in the case is indeed the Nintendo Switch 2. The company shared a link to a product site that includes a rotating animation showing details of the new hardware, matching images from previous leaks of the console. Another post on Reddit by u/stardew92 showcased images reflecting the curved design that has appeared in other supposed leaks related to the Switch 2.

Returning to the original post by u/NextHandheld, this user answered various questions, and while the only verification comes from the moderators' approval, it’s important to maintain a skeptical attitude. However, the details mentioned have generated interest among fans. According to the post, the console would feature a curved dock and Joy-Cons with a similar design to the previous ones but would include two USB-A ports and USB-C, HDMI, and Ethernet connections. Additionally, a new button labeled “C” was mentioned, which could relate to camera control or projection functions.

Regarding a potential official announcement date, u/NextHandheld suggested it could be in January, mentioning a Nintendo meeting, although this information is not confirmed. As always with this type of leak, it is advisable to maintain a critical attitude, although the data presented so far seems quite solid and offers hope to Nintendo followers.

Nintendo also communicated during its most recent financial results that Nintendo Switch games will be compatible with its new console. During a conference, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa stated that both Switch software and the Nintendo Switch Online service will be available on its successor, with more information to come in the future.
