Vivek Ramaswamy resigns from his position at DOGE.

It was reported that Ramaswamy had been under pressure to resign.

Vivek Ramaswamy has decided to step down from his role as co-leader of Donald Trump's Government Efficiency Department (DOGE). The official reason for his departure is his intention to run for an elected office, specifically as governor of Ohio. According to a spokesperson, Ramaswamy played a key role in the formation of DOGE, and his resignation is based on the need to distance himself from the group while seeking a political candidacy.

DOGE, while not an official government entity, was created with the aim of advising on cuts to public spending deemed unnecessary. Ramaswamy and Elon Musk had detailed their plans in a major media article. However, internal issues have arisen that led to his decision to step away; it has been mentioned that some people close to Musk have expressed discontent with Ramaswamy's lack of commitment. Consequently, there has been an implicit pressure for his exit.

Although he has not posted anything on X regarding his departure from DOGE, Ramaswamy recently shared a picture with Musk and retweeted a humorous comment mentioning his gubernatorial candidacy, indicating that he doesn’t think it’s a bad idea. As of now, DOGE is facing at least three legal lawsuits.
