Valve releases a white version of the Steam Deck available for purchase.

It is a limited edition and is priced at 679 dollars.

Almost three years after showcasing a white version of the Steam Deck, Valve has finally decided to release this normally black portable console version. This limited edition white model will be available for purchase at $679 starting November 18 at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET, in all regions where the portable console is sold, including Australia and various areas in Asia served by Komodo.

According to Valve, this white model has no internal differences compared to the standard model. The Steam Deck OLED: Limited Edition White features the same specifications as the 1TB OLED model, but comes in a white and gray design. Additionally, an exclusive white carrying case and a white microfiber cleaning cloth will be included. Since the regular price of the 1TB OLED model is $649, the additional cost for the color version is only $30.

Valve has distributed the stock proportionally among different regions, but warns that once it's sold out, no more units will be produced. Below are some additional product images directly from Valve.

While I still recommend the Steam Deck OLED, some buyers may opt for the Asus ROG Ally X due to its outstanding performance and good battery life, especially if they decide to install the Bazzite operating system, which makes it feel similar to a Steam Deck alongside Windows. (It’s worth mentioning that the ROG Ally X is a black model of a console that was originally white, while this Steam Deck is the opposite).

Additionally, there are those who hope that someone will print high-quality Portal labels, allowing customization with orange and blue thumbstick caps.
