Throne and Liberty features unique characteristics, such as the absence of classes and the ability to switch roles simply by exchanging weapons. However, it retains several traditional elements that MMORPG fans will recognize. A fundamental aspect is your character's level, which is a familiar goal for many players. At the beginning of the game, progression is quick and levels are easily obtained; however, after a few hours, advancement becomes more challenging. Main story quests are the most lucrative source of experience. These quests are usually quick and offer a considerable amount of XP, allowing players to move on to the next quest with relative ease, although they will eventually face some obstacles. These quests are particularly relevant in the early phases of the game, as many mechanics and functionalities will become available later. Completing these quests will unlock new activities and ways to earn experience.

Side Quests, which occasionally appear between main quests, serve as tutorials for new mechanics introduced during the story. Completing them is a quick way to gain additional experience and rewards, even if you already have a good understanding of the concepts.

It is advisable not to leave an area before completing Exploration Quests, which are organized in a tab of the Codex and present a series of tasks within each region. Main quests usually guide players through the most important zones, each with its own set of objectives, similar to side quests in other RPGs. These quests unlock in stages and provide experience as well as useful materials for upgrades.

Participating in Dynamic Events is crucial. These events are similar to world events in other RPGs and can occur at any time, inviting players to join. When spotting one on the map, it’s recommended to participate immediately. Although they are not completely random, events can be anticipated on the map. There is a wide variety of events, ranging from collecting resources within a time limit to facing off against other players or challenging bosses, offering substantial rewards based on the event's difficulty.

While exploring, it’s also important to be on the lookout for hidden Mystic Globes in the world. If you have Mystic Keys, you can open them for easy experience. Occasionally, the globes will generate portals, which when found and opened will also grant additional experience.
