Three Must-Watch Movies on Hulu to See This Weekend (September 27-29)

Nicolas Cage takes on the role that seemed destined for him in one of our picks for the three great Hulu movies you must watch this weekend.

As the end of the month approaches, new options become available for selection on Hulu. This trend is also observed on other streaming platforms, as most movie premieres tend to be released at the beginning of the month. Despite this, Hulu subscribers have a vast library of films to enjoy over the weekend. Here are three standout movies that can be watched on the platform this weekend, including an action-comedy starring Nicolas Cage, a fun mystery, and a submarine thriller featuring two well-known action stars.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022)
In this action-comedy, Nicolas Cage plays himself at a challenging moment in his career, grappling with personal issues and family troubles. The film depicts Cage just as he is recruited by the CIA to spy on Javi Gutiérrez, a millionaire who is his biggest fan and wants to produce a movie with him. As the plot unfolds, the dangers escalate, and Cage finds himself caught up in a perilous mission. "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent" is available on Hulu.

See How They Run (2022)
This film, which combines elements of comedy and mystery, pays homage to Agatha Christie. Set in 1953, it follows Inspector George Stoppard, an unreliable investigator, who teams up with Constable Stalker, an inexperienced officer, to investigate the murder of an American director. The plot thickens as the deceased was about to adapt one of Christie’s most famous works. The number of suspects is considerable, including members of the play’s cast. "See How They Run" is available on Hulu.

K-19: The Widowmaker (2002)
Hulu has mistakenly categorized "K-19: The Widowmaker" as a horror film when it is actually a historical thriller directed by Kathryn Bigelow that tells the story of Russia's first nuclear ballistic missile submarine, the K-19. The film features Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson as Russian naval officers in a conflict over the submarine's command, facing an imminent nuclear crisis. While both actors may not be the most expected choices for these roles, their performances are noteworthy. "K-19: The Widowmaker" can be watched on Hulu.
