Tim Cook is the latest tech CEO to meet with Trump at Mar-a-Lago.

According to reports, this is their first meeting with Trump since the elections.

Apple CEO Tim Cook will meet with President-elect Donald Trump for dinner on Friday at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. This will be Cook's first meeting with Trump since the election. During Trump’s first term, Cook established a direct relationship with the president, something other tech leaders have tried to replicate.

With Trump’s second term approaching, Cook may raise issues related to tariffs that would significantly impact Apple’s business. He could also address the actions of the European Union against the company; during the presidential campaign, Trump claimed that Cook had called him to express his concerns about the sanctions Apple faces in Europe, where it is accused of anti-competitive practices regarding App Store policies and the management of platforms such as the iPhone and Mac.

Cook’s visit comes in the context of recent conversations Trump has had with other tech leaders, such as Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, and an upcoming meeting with Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon. Additionally, Trump met in November with Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta. Many tech companies and their leaders, including Meta, Amazon, and Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, have been making proposals to the president-elect, including donations of $1 million to his inauguration fund.
