Three Xbox Game Pass Games to Enjoy This Weekend (April 4-6)
Although all the attention was on Nintendo this week, don't forget that Game Pass is available with the best games to enjoy this weekend.
During this week, one of the most notable announcements was the complete presentation and details of the Nintendo Switch 2. Despite the excitement it generated, Game Pass players won’t have to wait long to enjoy excellent new titles on Xbox Series X. One of the upcoming releases is South of Midnight, followed by Clair Obscur. To make the most of the weekend, here’s a selection of three Game Pass games you probably missed at launch.
We Happy Few
The last title developed by Compulsion Games before South of Midnight was We Happy Few, a game that didn’t receive the attention it deserved. While the initial trailers suggested a linear game in the vein of BioShock, it is actually a first-person survival experience with roguelike elements. Set in an alternate England in the 1960s, players navigate through three acts controlling different characters who seek to escape the city for various reasons. While it has its flaws, it’s an interesting proposition to rediscover before the studio's next release. We Happy Few is already available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Wargroove 2
If you enjoy turn-based strategy games, Wargroove 2 is the perfect option for a relaxing weekend. This game features stunning animation and addictive gameplay. Players must manage resource gathering, unit recruitment, and simultaneous battles on the map. Despite following a classic rock-paper-scissors combat format, Wargroove 2 introduces a unique system that allows commanders to earn upgrades with each action taken, which can be used for special moves. In addition to its campaign, the game also offers a Conquest mode that features procedurally generated maps for endless challenges. Wargroove 2 is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC.
All You Need is Help
If the Nintendo news has inspired you to search for something bright and cheerful, All You Need is Help is the perfect choice. With a trailer showcasing the game's charm, it’s best to approach it without expectations. There are no plot twists that spoil the experience; instead, its essence lies in puzzles and quirky interactions among players in co-op mode. It’s important to note that this game requires more than one player, either locally or through online connection. All You Need is Help is now available on PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
