Threads gives you more time to edit your posts.

Now, you will have more time to correct that typo.

Threads has extended the available editing time for posts from a limit of five minutes to fifteen. This means that if you have enabled the option to share on the fediverse, you will need to wait this time before your content appears on platforms like Mastodon. Although this editing window is broader than the previous one, it is still relatively short compared to other networks. For example, X allows users to edit posts for up to an hour, although this requires a subscription. On the other hand, Mastodon offers the ability to edit posts at any time for free.

Additionally, Threads has implemented a new feature that allows users to see who follows them and who has liked their posts from fediverse servers like Mastodon. This functionality will make it easier to track new followers and interact, regardless of the platform used by the users.

Along with these changes, Threads is also incorporating more features into its API, which was launched in June for developers interested in creating integrations and third-party applications. Through the API, posts made by users can be automatically shared on the fediverse. Furthermore, improvements have been made in areas such as the ability to attach links to posts, the introduction of real-time notifications for replies, and the option to add alt text to images and videos.
