This new backup solution is natively compatible with ARM-based Windows devices and Copilot+.
Restores images five times faster than its previous version.
Macrium has introduced its new product, Reflect X, which is designed to be compatible with ARM-based Windows devices using Copilot+ technology. This software features native bare metal recovery options and recovery from the boot menu, making it a reliable solution for backup and recovery, especially for organizations that rely on ARM devices in their critical infrastructure.
The company claims that Reflect X allows for image restoration up to five times faster than its previous version. This improvement is due to a transformation in the compression technique and the optimization of backups through multithreading processes, maximizing performance and significantly reducing the time needed to perform backups and recoveries.
As businesses increasingly depend on their digital infrastructure, the ability to recover quickly from system failures or cyberattacks becomes crucial. Interruptions caused by hardware issues or data breaches can lead to significant financial losses and operational setbacks. In particular, sectors such as OEM, manufacturing, and energy face constant risks of hardware failures, which can be costly in terms of data and resources. For these organizations, quick recovery is essential to avoiding prolonged downtime.
The accelerated recovery times offered by Reflect X are a solution that allows for efficient restoration of operations, meeting Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
In addition to performance enhancements, Macrium has adopted a new approach to file accessibility, making backups generated with Reflect X open source. By focusing exclusively on backup, recovery, and image deployment, the company has been able to concentrate all its resources on refining these solutions. Unlike companies that provide a one-size-fits-all approach to cyber resilience, Macrium specializes in delivering top-tier tools for each component of an organization's security strategy.
Dave Joyce, CEO of Macrium, noted that Reflect X has been designed to meet business needs, with special attention paid to key metrics such as Recovery Time and Recovery Point. This enables companies to better protect their data and minimize downtime in increasingly complex IT and OT environments.
